My 08 Hi-Fi finally gave up the ghost. Broke the right chainstay at the usual place. I left the bike at Milford Bicycle for a warranty repair. I hope that Trek replaces the whole frame instead of just the rear triangle. Has anybody else had any recent warranty issues with Trek?

No such luck with my 08 Rig 1x9. Bill, you are welcomed to use/break it (the frame that is) if you need a ride for a while. I would love to upgrade the frame to one of them new fangled bamboo rigs.

Thanks for the bike use offer but I have some other bikes to ride while Trek deliberates. I have given some thought to building a bamboo MTN bike but the project is still rattling around in my head.

If it's full suspension I doubt there are any triangles available, and I would hope if it's a hard tail they would do a frame anyways. I think Matt got a Trek frame for his Fisher - don't know if it cost him anything.

They replaced my 2010 chainstays (only) last fall. Jess broke his (also a 2010 I think) for a second time sometime after me and they upgraded from Deluxe to Pro for a $600 upgrade fee (whole bike, not just frame). Good luck!

I got good news from Milford Bike today. Trek is replacing my broken 2008 Hi Fi frame with a 2012 Superfly 100 Pro frame. It's going to cost me some coin for a headset and BB but I think its is a very fair deal.

Wow that sounds like an upgrade. No charge for the frame?
