I thought the spongy brake was because the organic pad had worn down so fast.... the good news is that the pad still has life , the bad news is that the lever is leaking. Is there a cure for this other than a new lever? (That's why I don't like hydraulic brakes) BTW it's an Elixir lever and the leak is somewhere behind the reach adjustment knob.

You'll need a master cylinder rebuild kit. Try bikeman.com
