Jon and I took 1st overall at Millstone. We were the only team/solo to do 15 laps.

Congrats to you and Modiggity-Doo ! Unfortunately for now on though , the group gets a 30 minute headstart before ANY posted rides ! ( The price of fame my friend ! ) ;)

Contracts to the group of racers. It looks like the rocks got a little muddy at Millstone huh?

Yeah, right around lap 11. That's when Jon's lap times went from 48 to 56 min :o

It's not a great feeling when you have to ask other racers if they've seen your teammate out there.

The individual splits start on page 4

Jon had the pleasure of doing the first and last lap.

How long was the lap, that's like a TT at 48 minutes.

Somewhere around 7 miles.

Chris Gagnon had the fastest lap @39:48. There were a couple laps in the 40 min range. My first two were 41:09 & 41:07. Then we had like an 18 min lead and there was little motivation to keep drilling it that hard.

A bunch of Bums raced Hodges on Sunday. Modig took 2nd in Cat1 12-18 class, he is looking really strong these days. Steve W and Steve S took 5th and 6th Cat 1 40-49. Rob Paton took 14th in Cat2 40-49. I managed 4th place (12 riders) in the Cat 1 Single speed race. I got out in front but after the first lap I got systematically pushed back to 5th place. I was able to fight back to 4th in a sprint at the finish. Brandon nabbed 7th in the same class. 25 miles of MTB racing hurts a lot more than a 6 mile TT, thats for sure!

I figured out why it was so hard for you John. The hills were getting taller each lap

That explains why I felt like shit after the 1st lap.

And I thought it was from drinking way too much, getting no sleep and jet lag from the prior week in CA. I feel much better now.
