... is awsome!

About 3 weeks ago I decided to clean the Ibis. I brought the bike into the basement and started cleaning a summers worth of grit, grime and grease from the frame etc. While cleaning the bike I noticed a "sticky" film covering the downtubes. WTF? I tried using Simple Green, Citra Solve Degreaser ( thanks to the BUMS XMAS party gift swap!). rubbing alcohol etc.- nothing worked. I then noticed the rubberized coating covering the carbon frame was actually "melted" looking in spots! AHH! At first I figured I must have oversprayed something on the frame and did not clean it off soon enough- but WTF- this is a brandy new frame! I decided to shoot Ibis a quick email with some frame shots. Withing 20 minutes I got a reply back that they did have a small batch of frames with faulty paint and they would most likely be able to replace the front triangle of the bike! To make a long story short(ish) they did not have a matte brown large front triangle available and they are sending me a brand new frame! AWSOME! No bickering, no finger pointing- nothing. Just a few quick emails and problem solved. Anywho- I'm hoping to have the new frame in next week- I'll post some pics when I get things rebuilt!
