Whittinsville (AKA: Plumbers Landing)
This trail system located off Rte 122 in Northbridge, MA might be one of the most versatile places to ride in Central MA. If you ride the Goat Hill trails, cross Rte 122 or make it out to Lookout Rock and the West Hill Damn area, you could do 30 miles plus and hardly ride the same spot twice.
For this review though, we'll stick to the Plumbers Landing section only.

Located next to a spill way section of the Blackstone River, many years of flooding have left countless earthern berms built up near the waterway's banks. The natural features of this very flat area has been turned into a XC rider's dream. IF you like to turn! Countless switchbacks in a relatively small area makes the riding swoopy, fast and fun! This particular place has been a host for one of the rounds of the Team Bums TT series 5 or 6 years in a row and always seems to bring in the crowds. So--- that should tell you something as far as it's "hoot" level.
Plumbers Landing has started to show a few signs of erosion in the last few years with some extra roots coming up. But mile for mile-- this place is awesome.

Parking is limited to about 25 cars but neither seems to ever totally fill up.

A good loop might be to ride out from one of the two dirt parking lots-- take the right at the first fork-- then find the single track that surrounds the sand pit on either your right or left. Riding either direction is good. Just watch out for the skinny bridges.

This place gets 9 on my crank list.
